Beautiful , easy and quick to make doily , the finer the thread you use the daintier  it will be

magic ring

R1:12 sc in the ring , join

R2:sc in the same st, ***2 sc in next sc in next 2, ch 16  join with sl st in 10th st from hook

in the ring just made work (sc, hdc, 10 dc , hdc, sc join with sl st in  first ch of the ring, 

*ch 10  join with sl st in 10th st from hook, sl st in the last sc of previous ring  (sc, hdc, 10 dc , hdc, sc join with sl st in  first ch of the ring* twice, sc in each of the free 6 chains, sc in first free sc of round, 1*** Repeat from *** -*** twice more , join with sl st in the beg of round 2

R3:  beginning trc cluster ,# ch5 ,sc in 8th stitch in the ring,( ch15, sc in 7th stitch of next ring) twice

*ch5, cluster in 3rd sc from the row below# repeat around, join in first cluster with dtrc

R4: 5 sc in the same space, 5 sc in the next, ch 7 , sl st in the first sc in previous space working in ch 7 space 4sc , ch5 join in top of the sc to form a picot,4 more sc in the same space

in next space make( 3sc,picot) x3, 3 sc, in next space 3 sc, ch 5 , turn work a cluster in the center between sc's of the two spaces, ch 5 , skip 2 sc , sl st in the 3rd, turn, in 5 ch space work( 3sc, picot, 3sc , 7 ch picot) in next 5 ch space( 3sc, picot, 3sc),continue working in 15 ch space (3sc,picot)x3, 3 sc
